Classes and Workshops

Weekly Open Class

The class begins with quiet deep breathing to bring awareness to one’s inner self and to bring the body into an appropriate state of relaxation. The warm-up session aims to develop the muscle strength, balance, and flexibility required for dance, and at the same time it allows to expand one’s awareness of space and body through improvisational movement. In phrase work, the core of her class, dancers will hone their technical skills as well as expressive, and practical skills by working on her original choreography that integrates elements of her colorful background in contemporary, jazz, classical ballet, and Qi Gong. As a teaching artist, her mission is to provide opportunities for dancers to challenge themselves both physically and mentally, and to develop them as artists who can maximize their unique qualities.

Workshops
